It took me some days. I kept setting the alarm to 4.15 with the intention to leave the house silently at 4.30 to see the sun rise. Every night I woke up at around 3 o’clock, checked the weather forecast – and turned off the alarm clock.

Finally, on the second last morning of our stay, I managed to get up, get dressed and haste out to the car, without being robbed by nightly monsters wandering around in the woods, when everybody is supposed to be sleeping. I admit, I was a bit scared. I closed the car doors from the inside and hesitated to open the window for quite a while. Silly me ;-).

When the sun rose, it was cloudy. It looked just like a cloudy afternoon. Yawn. But I had the feeling that it would be nice after a little while, so I drove around the country side. And at 6.00 the clouds disappeared and I had a fantastic morning, where I seemed to own the world. There was nobody else. Just some geese…
